Annie Lennox performed The Holly & The Ivy on the Andrew Marr show earlier today on the BBC
Annie Lennox ended the last Andrew Marr show of 2020 on the BBC this morning with a pre-recorded version of The Holly & The Ivy taken from her Christmas album “A Christmas Cornucopia”.
“Andrew Marr introduced the song by saying that “It might not be the Christmas we were all hoping for, or wanted, but it is Christmas and we wanto finish with some cheer. Annie Lennox’s Christmas album is 10 years old this year, and we’re going to end this morning with a carol from it, The Holy & The Ivy. This version was especially recorded for us by Annie in lockdown in her home in Los Angeles”
Annie also introduced the song by wishing everyone a Happy CHristmas and a Happy New Year.
