As a long time supporter of Peace One Day, Annie Lennox performed 3 songs yesterday for the Peace One Day Live Global Digital Experience. Forced to be an online event, it allowed contributors from all over the world to take part.
Annie Lennox performed 3 songs from her solo catalogue early on in the 12 hour broadcast performing :
- 1000 Beautiful Things
- Don’t Let It Bring You Down
- Pavement Cracks
Annie changed the lyrics at the end of Pavement Cracks for the event.
Organiser Jeremy Gilly then spoke about Annie’s involvement with Peace One Day from the first event along with Dave Stewart.

Peace One Day’s objective is to institutionalise Peace Day 21 September. Throughout the years, millions of people have been active on Peace Day in every country of the world, and hundreds of organisations have carried out life-saving activities in areas of conflict.
