The UK tour of Ghost the Musical has announced full casting ahead of its opening night on the 8th April in Cardiff.
Leading the company in the roles of Sam and Molly are Stewart Clarke and Rebecca Trehearn. Stewart has just finished playing the role of Eddie Arch in Looserville and Rebecca returns to Ghost where she understudied Molly in the West End during 2012.
The iconic Oda Mae Brown will be played by Wendy Mae Brown, yes you read that correctly! Sometimes life can imitate art. The final principle role, Carl Bruner is taken by David Roberts.
Oda Mae’s sisters, Clara and Louise will be played by Karlene Wray and Keisha Atwell respectively. Ivan De Freitas is once again the gangster Willie Lopez and the only cast member to have been part of every UK Ghost company since the show premiered in Manchester back in March 2011. Stevie Hutchinson completes the main character line up playing the Subway Ghost.
Ensemble members consist of Michael Cortez, Bradley Jaden, Luke Wilson, Gregor Stewart, Nick Hayes, Maeve Byrne, Amy West, Kimmy Edwards, Gabriela Garcia and Amy Webb. The cast is completed with the swings Livvy Evans, Michael Stewart, Robert Knight and Jaye Juliette Elster.
News from the first day of rehearsals on Monday in London indicates there has been a set redesign for the tour but all the elements of the original production are maintained and there are even some added illusions. As to the exact extent of the changes we will all have to wait until April in Cardiff.
