Steve Angello is a Greek-Swedish DJ, producer, and entrepreneur who has been a defining force in electronic dance music. Born Steven Patrik Josefsson Fragogiannis on 22 November 1982 in Athens, Greece, he moved to Sweden at an early age. Angello started as a scratch DJ at 12, initially exploring hip-hop and breakbeat, but he later transitioned to electronic music, carving out a remarkable career.
As a founding member of the legendary trio Swedish House Mafia, alongside Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso, Angello played a pivotal role in revolutionising house music. The group achieved global fame with hits such as Don’t You Worry Child and Save the World, known for their euphoric anthems and high-energy performances. Their influence on electronic music remains unparalleled, earning them a dedicated global fanbase.
In addition to his success with Swedish House Mafia, Angello has built an impressive solo career. He released hits like Show Me Love and KNAS and established Size Records in 2003, which has become a key platform for fostering talent in the EDM scene.
