More Information

Otto Aday is a Welsh singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer whose music blends nostalgic melodies with cinematic flair and British rock energy. Raised in the small valley town of Ferndale, he began writing songs in his teens, busking locally and recording demos in a makeshift studio built into his bedroom. His early EP, Post, was inspired by handwritten letters exchanged with neighbours, showcasing his gift for storytelling and emotional connection.
In 2020, Otto caught the attention of Dave Stewart through a songwriting competition on the Trackd app. Stewart signed him to Bay Street Records and co-produced his debut album Persona, recorded in Nashville with top session musicians and mastered at Abbey Road Studios. The album, released in October 2023, features twelve tracks rooted in folk but expanded into lush, cinematic arrangements. Its lead single, “Star Crossed Lovers,” was co-written with Stewart and inspired by a chance encounter in York.
Otto’s music draws influence from artists like Bon Iver, Cat Stevens and The Beatles, and his lyrics often reflect personal growth, fleeting relationships and the search for identity. With a growing fanbase and festival appearances across the UK and North America, Otto Aday is carving out a distinctive space in modern British songwriting — poetic, adventurous and emotionally resonant.
