Darren Allison

Darren Allison is credited for studio engineering and programming credits on several of Dave Stewart's projects including the Vegas album, The Spiritual Cowboys and Greetings from The Gutter.

Darren Allison trained in Ezee Studios, assisting on Robert Plant sessions and Tina Turner’s ‘Foreign Affairs’ album, plus engineering Propaganda, Jesus Jones and Dave Stewart. Working for five years at The Church Studio, Darren co-produced Divine Comedy’s critically acclaimed album ‘Liberation’ on a tiny budget. Their second album ‘Promenade’ was also well received by the critics and Darren went on to produce their third album ‘Casanova’ which contained the three Top 20 singles, ‘Something For The Weekend’, ‘Frog Princess’ & ‘Becoming More Like Alfie’. He co-produced and engineered tracks on the acclaimed Spiritualized ‘...Floating In Space’ album, tracks for Skunk Anansie and produced tracks for Babybird, plus albums for The Josephs and Ben Christopher. In the last year or so he has produced a single for Italy’s Elisa, an album for Too Pure’s eclectic geniuses Jack, recorded tracks for Electronic, produced Mundy and tracks for the hotly tipped Contempo, The Dum Dums, Big Sur and two albums for Portugals new superstars Hands On Approach. He also worked most recently with BBMak. Darren is also a skilled drummer and his understanding of arrangements and performance give him an all round confidence in being able to draw out the best from artists, especially those who are new to the studio.
