Released in 1986, Balancing The Scales is the only album by State Of Play, a short-lived band featuring Toni Halliday and Dean Garcia, who would later form Curve. Dave Stewart contributed guitar to the track Rock-A-Bye Baby, adding his distinctive touch to the band’s blend of new wave, pop, and alternative rock. The album was released on Virgin Records and includes tracks like Naked As The Day and Human Kind. Though it didn’t chart, it has since gained cult status. The original UK vinyl and CD editions are prized by collectors.
