The Best Of You

An audio treasure for you today, on day 8 you may have heard Annie talking about working with Billy Mackenzie from The Associates.

Here is one of those tracks which is an unrelased demo called The Best Of You featuring Billy and Annie Lennox.  The track was from The Associates album “Perhaps”where Edi Reader ultimately replaced Annie on the final released version.

Tu Juventudon

Annie Lennox provides sublte backing vocals on this rare track Tu Juventudon taken from the album Corroncho. Corroncho is a Spanish speaking album recorded by Roxy Music guitarist Phil Manzanera and Colombian artist/sculptor, Lucho Brieva in London between 2003-2008. The idea came from a track called ‘Complicada’ written by Chrissie Hynde whilst collaborating with her on a Spanish version of that song.

Savage Live

Today’s little treat is from one of the rare occaisions that Dave and Annie performed their track Savage live.
This recording was from The Town & Country Club in London on the 8th June 1988 where Eurythmics performed a secret gig as a warm up for the Nelson Mandela concert at Wembley Stadium 3 days later.

THE TOURISTS LIVE

Once again, we bring you something today that a few peeps have been talking about on various forums, this is the live recording The Tourists made for the BBC featuring 8 tracks.  There is a bootleg recording in our discography from Japan, but we’re please to bring you the audio below.  There is some confusion as the whether it was recorded in 1979 or 1980, but I am swaying towards the 1980 date, but let us know if you have any ideas.

Please drop us an email to webmaster@eurythmics-ultimate.com and we will send you a link to download which we will only make available for a few days.
