The main differences are : - "Pattern Of My Life" (only called "Pattern" here) has a different intro (voices doing the synth melody found of the final version but no drums), has no bass on the verses, has no strings on the choruses and has a different bridge (using again the vocal arrangements of the intro) - "Shining Light" has an intro with piano & organ.
