Yolanda Charles MBE is a powerhouse British bassist who has worked closely with Dave Stewart on stage and in the studio. Known for her deep, funky groove, she became Dave’s musical director for live shows, leading his band with style and precision.
She’s played on tours, TV performances and recordings, bringing energy and versatility to every project. Yolanda also led the band for artists Dave championed, including Hollie Stephenson, showing her skill as both player and leader, as well as recording on the Alfie Sundtrack album.
Her ability to move between rock, pop, funk and soul made her the perfect fit for Dave’s eclectic music world.
