Vanessa Mae
The collaboration between virtuoso violinist Vanessa-Mae and Dave Stewart was an unusual one and brought together two worlds: classical and contemporary music. Vanessa-Mae, acclaimed for her fusion of classical violin with modern genres like pop and electronic, found in Stewart a collaborator who could seamlessly bridge these sounds. Their work focused on a collaboration to help launch a new range of Rover cars, with Dave Stewart writing a symphony that was played on specially tuned car horns, and Vanessa playing violin on the roof of a car.
