The Lovemakers were an electropop/new wave band from Oakland, California, formed in 2002 by Scott Blonde (guitar, vocals) and Lisa Light (vocals, bass). The duo met through Blonde’s manager, whom Light was dating at the time. After leaving their previous band, they formed The Lovemakers, named after the Japanese sexploitation film “The Weird Lovemakers.” Their debut album, “Times of Romance,” was released in 2005, followed by “Misery Loves Company” in 2007 and “Let’s Be Friends” in 2009.
