Shelly Poole, born in Barking, London, is an accomplished singer-songwriter who rose to fame as one half of the chart-topping pop duo Alisha’s Attic. Together with her sister Karen Poole, Shelly carved out a distinctive niche in the 1990s music scene with their quirky lyrics, soulful harmonies, and a style that was both edgy and accessible. Alisha’s Attic enjoyed significant success with hits like “I Am, I Feel,” “The Incidentals,” and “Indestructible,” achieving multiple UK Top 40 chart positions and selling over a million records worldwide.
