Peter Hook, born in 1956 in Salford, is renowned for his distinctive melodic bass lines that became a hallmark of both Joy Division and New Order. As a co-founder of New Order, Hook’s contributions were integral to their groundbreaking fusion of post-punk and dance music. After leaving the band in 2007 due to creative differences, he formed Peter Hook & The Light, performing Joy Division and New Order’s music live. Hook remains an influential figure in the music world
