Mia Dyson is an acclaimed Australian singer-songwriter and guitarist whose career spans over two decades. Born in Daylesford, Victoria in 1981, she grew up surrounded by music—her father was a blues guitarist and luthier. Dyson released her debut album Cold Water in 2003, followed by Parking Lots in 2005, which won the ARIA Award for Best Blues and Roots Album. Her soulful voice and blues-infused guitar work have earned her comparisons to Bonnie Raitt and Lucinda Williams.
Dyson has toured extensively across Australia, North America and Europe, supporting artists such as Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt and Chris Isaak. Her later albums, including The Moment, Idyllwild, and Tender Heart, showcase a maturing sound that blends rock, folk and Americana. In 2013, she formed the trio Dyson Stringer Cloher with Liz Stringer and Jen Cloher, further cementing her place in Australia’s roots music scene.
