Jonathan Perkins

Jonathan Perkins appeared on a large number of Dave Stewarts solo projects, and was signed by Dave to Anxious as The Flame and then Miss World, now V10 with Eddie Jordan. Jonathan became an integral part of The Spiritual Cowboys live tours.

Perkins has been a working musician since the mid-seventies.Gigging first with Rock n' Roll band the Teenage Polecats and XTC on to his first recording deal with Punk band Stadium Dogs in 1977. Since then he has released many Lp's and singles in his own right with JP's Silver Spurs, The Flame and Miss World. Both as a solo artist and as a member of bands The Original Mirrors and Dave Stewarts' Spiritual Cowboys (Wild Mondo) Perkins has toured Europe and the USA extensively. (travelling first class and economy) Perkins has co-written two UK Hit singles "Untouchable" by Rialto (Number 6) and "Jack Talking" with Dave Stewart (Number 40). The surreal and eclectic diversity of musical styles and influences in Perkins work is exemplified by the many influential artists and bands he has worked with in the studio over the last 25 years, these include; Little Richard, Mick Jagger, George Harrisson, Lou Reed, Timothy Leary, Roger McGuinn (The Byrds), XTC, Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols), Holger Tzukay (Can), Jools Holland, Dave Stewart, Bob Geldoff, Roger Taylor (Queen), Shakespears Sister, Terry Hall (Specials / Fun Boy Three), Siobahn Fahey, Busta "Cherry" Jones (Talking Heads), Ian Broudie (Lightning Seeds), Murry Lachlan Young, Martin Chambers (Pretenders), Chris Starling, JCOOI and Desire, Nan Vernon, Wide Boy Awake, Daryl Hall and John Oates .
