Jeff Bova is an acclaimed American keyboardist, composer, arranger, and record producer whose career spans over four decades. Born in Washington, D.C., in 1953, Bova grew up in Old Greenwich, Connecticut, and began his musical journey as a trumpet player before transitioning to keyboards. He studied at the Berklee College of Music and the Manhattan School of Music, honing his skills in composition and arranging.
Bova gained recognition as a touring member of Herbie Hancock’s groundbreaking Rockit Band, contributing to Hancock’s “techno-funk” trilogy, including the iconic album Future Shock. His proficiency with synthesizers and electronic music established him as a pioneer in blending jazz innovation with electronic sounds.
Throughout his career, Jeff Bova has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Celine Dion, Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, Meat Loaf, and Cyndi Lauper. He earned a Grammy Award for Album of the Year as a producer on Celine Dion’s Falling Into You. His contributions to Meat Loaf’s Bat Out of Hell II: Back Into Hell include arranging and performing the instrumental track Back Into Hell.
