Gillian Gilbert, born in 1961 in Manchester, joined New Order in 1981 as a keyboardist and guitarist, adding a new dimension to their sound. Her work was crucial in the band’s shift towards electronic music. Gilbert also collaborated with Stephen Morris in The Other Two. After a hiatus, she rejoined New Order in 2011 and remains an active member, celebrated for her contributions to the band’s innovative sound.
