In the brand new issue of Classic Pop Magazine out today, there is a feature on Laurence Stevens and predominately his work with Eurythmics and Annie Lennox.

Laurence explains that RCA treated the release of Diva as if it was a debut, and they had to keep to strict print budgets and his ideas of using handwritten gold metallic writing were rejected.

The feature talks about his first meeting with Dave and Annie and the work with the various photographers involved in each album project.  My favourite anecdote is for the lettering on the Touch album where Laurence explains that he had run out of a lot of the letters on his letraset  sheets so he just used whatever he had left mixing the fonts and the cases!

Classic Pop Issue 26 is on sale now.
