Eurythmics single The Miracle Of Love Features on New NOW Yearbook The Vault: 1986 Collection

Eurythmics' "The Miracle Of Love" Included on NOW Yearbook The Vault: 1986

The NOW Music team continues its ever-popular Yearbook series on 18th September 2026 with the release of NOW Yearbook The Vault: 1986, a collection celebrating some of the year's most overlooked, underrated and forgotten gems.

While previous Yearbook editions have focused on the chart-topping hits that defined a particular year, the Vault series shines a light on records that perhaps did not achieve the commercial success they deserved, but have since become cherished by music fans and collectors alike.

For Eurythmics fans, the new collection includes one of the most beautiful recordings from the duo's catalogue, "The Miracle Of Love", taken from their 1986 album Revenge.

Although Revenge produced major hits including When Tomorrow Comes, Missionary Man and Thorn In My Side, The Miracle Of Love has always occupied a special place in the hearts of fans. Built around Annie Lennox's emotional vocal performance and Dave Stewart's elegant production, the song remains one of the most moving ballads the duo ever recorded.

Listening today, it is easy to understand why the track continues to resonate forty years later. There is a timeless quality to its message, combining vulnerability, hope and romance in a way that only Annie and Dave could deliver.

The inclusion of The Miracle Of Love also highlights one of the most fascinating aspects of 1986. It was a year in which the music landscape was changing rapidly. Established stars who had dominated the charts only a few years earlier were beginning to find radio and record buyers looking elsewhere. As a result, many exceptional singles that might have been major hits in another era slipped through the cracks.

That changing musical landscape forms the basis of The Vault: 1986, which gathers together 77 tracks across four CDs and 44 tracks on a specially pressed purple triple vinyl edition.

Alongside Eurythmics, the compilation features an impressive selection of artists including Paul McCartney, Sting, Paul Young, Howard Jones, Nik Kershaw, ABC, Talk Talk, Ultravox, OMD, David Sylvian, The Communards, Bronski Beat, Grace Jones, Tears For Fears, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen and many more.

What makes this release particularly appealing is that many of the featured songs are not the obvious choices. Instead, the collection celebrates singles that may have been overshadowed at the time but have gained appreciation with the passing of years.

For Eurythmics followers, The Miracle Of Love is a perfect example. While never enjoying the same chart profile as some of the duo's biggest hits, it remains one of the defining moments of the Revenge era and a reminder of the remarkable chemistry between Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart at the height of their creative partnership.

The 4CD edition is presented in NOW's familiar deluxe hardback book format and includes a 28-page booklet featuring notes on every track. A standard card sleeve edition will also be available, alongside the eye-catching purple vinyl version.

As the NOW Yearbook series continues to revisit the rich musical landscape of the 1980s, The Vault: 1986 proves that chart positions do not always tell the whole story. Some songs become classics because they topped the charts. Others become classics because listeners continue to treasure them decades later.

The Miracle Of Love undoubtedly belongs in the latter category.

NOW Yearbook The Vault: 1986 is released on 18th September 2026 on 4CD and 3LP purple vinyl formats.
