Fans of Eurythmics will have another reason to visit London's Victoria and Albert Museum in 2027, with Eurythmics (Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox) among the artists featured in the museum's newly announced major exhibition, Punk to Pop.

Opening at V&A South Kensington on 13th March 2027, the exhibition will explore the creative explosion that transformed music, art and fashion between 1972 and 1985. According to the V&A, the exhibition will examine how the underground movements of the 1970s helped shape the global pop culture of the 1980s, tracing a journey from glam rock and disco through emerging subcultures and into the early digital age. 

Eurythmics are named alongside an impressive list of artists and bands including the Sex Pistols, The Slits, The Specials, Joy Division and Wham!, highlighting the group's importance in one of the most influential periods in modern British music history.

The exhibition will feature around 300 objects across a series of immersive, multi-sensory environments. Visitors can expect to see everything from stage costumes and photography to music videos and original designs, all illustrating how artists responded to a period marked by economic uncertainty, political change and rapid technological advancement.

For long-time Eurythmics fans, the announcement also recalls a significant connection between Annie Lennox and the V&A. In 2011, the museum hosted The House of Annie Lennox, a landmark exhibition developed in collaboration with Annie herself. Running from September 2011 to February 2012, the display showcased costumes, awards, handwritten lyrics, photographs and personal artefacts from across her extraordinary career with The Tourists, Eurythmics and as a solo artist. 

That exhibition offered visitors a rare glimpse into Annie's creative world and remains a fond memory for many fans who travelled to London to experience it. More than fifteen years later, it is fitting to see Eurythmics once again represented within the walls of one of the world's leading museums of art, design and performance.

While further details about the specific Eurythmics items to be displayed have not yet been announced, their inclusion underlines the lasting cultural impact of both Annie and Dave during a period that continues to inspire artists today.
