Artist Tali Lennox, daughter of Annie Lennox, has contributed her powerful painting Belladonna to a special charity initiative raising funds for Gaza. Organised by artist Millie Brown, this project brings together an extraordinary collective of internationally renowned artists, with 100% of profits going to The Zaynab Project, a registered charity delivering life-saving aid to vulnerable children and families.

About the Artwork

Belladonna is a striking and emotionally charged piece. Dominated by haunting eyes streaming crimson tears, the composition evokes themes of grief, faith and resilience. The tears form a cross-like shape, introducing spiritual symbolism, while the lower section shows smoke rising from the volcanic eruption. The warm, fiery tones of the smoke mirror the colour of the tears, creating a powerful visual link between human suffering and the chaos of nature.

The scene references two 18th-century paintings of Mount Vesuvius gifted to her by Annie.

Tali parallels the ruptures of the earth, with the breaking open of the female body and mind. “I also reference Anatomical Venuses,” she added “The force of something cracking open—the intensity and ensuring chaos—can also be a release.”

The Initiative

Curated by Millie Brown, this timed-release sale features works by Maripol, Matthew Stone, Hazem Harb, Eddie Peake, Adham Faramawy, Martin Creed, Kenny Scharf, Nabil Elderkin, Lina Iris Viktor and many others. Each artist has donated a piece for a limited two-week release through White Label Editions. Once the window closes on 24 October 2025, these editions will never be available again.
