Eurythmics fans have something to look forward to this October. Two new releases from the NOW That’s What I Call Music 12” 80s series are on the way, and both feature extended mixes of classic Eurythmics tracks. These compilations are part of a growing collection that celebrates the full-length 12” versions that defined the sound of the decade.

Vinyl Release: NOW Presents… 12” 80s: Volume Two: 1983–1984

The vinyl box set leads with Who's That Girl (Extended Version) by Eurythmics, a standout track from 1983 that captures the band’s cool, mysterious edge. This is the first time this extended mix has been available on vinyl since its original release, making it a real treat for collectors.

This limited edition 5LP set features coloured vinyl in blue, hot pink, orange, yellow and green. Alongside Eurythmics, you’ll find extended versions from Wham (Bad Boys), Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson (Say Say Say), The Cure (The Lovecats), Tears For Fears (Change), and New Order (Blue Monday). The collection also includes Frankie Goes To Hollywood (Relax – New York Mix), Duran Duran (The Reflex – Dance Mix), and Cocteau Twins (Pearly Dewdrops’ Drops – 12” Version), among many others.

With 44 tracks in total, this box set is a vibrant journey through two of the most creative years in pop history.

CD Release: NOW 12” 80s: 1985 – Part Two

Eurythmics are front and centre again on this 4CD set with There Must Be An Angel (Playing With My Heart) – Special Dance Mix. It’s the second track on Disc 1, right after Wham’s I’m Your Man (Extended Stimulation). This version of Angel brings out the full gospel-inspired energy of the original, with extra sparkle and soul.

The CD set includes 46 extended and remixed tracks from 1985. Highlights include Tears For Fears (Everybody Wants To Rule The World – Urban Mix), Midge Ure (If I Was – Extended Mix), Simply Red (Money’s Too Tight – The Cutback Mix), and Dead Or Alive (Lover Come Back To Me – Extended Remix). There’s also a strong showing from Chaka Khan, Bronski Beat, Grandmaster Flash, and Paul Young.

This release is a companion to Part One and continues the celebration of 1985’s unforgettable dancefloor hits and pop culture moments.
