Today, the world comes together for the Peace One Day Live Stream, a landmark event uniting artists, activists, and peacebuilders from every continent. Broadcasting from 1pm BST, this free global concert and digital festival marks the United Nations International Day of Peace, a day dedicated to ceasefire, non-violence, and hope for a better future.

What is Peace One Day?

Founded by filmmaker Jeremy Gilley in 1999, Peace One Day’s mission is to make 21 September a self-sustaining annual day of global unity and intercultural cooperation. The campaign led to the UN’s unanimous adoption of Peace Day in 2001. Since then, the day has inspired millions to take action, with proven reductions in violence and life-saving initiatives in conflict zones. The goal for 2025 is to reach three billion people with the message of peace, encouraging everyone to play their part in building a more peaceful world.

A Star-Studded Line-Up

This year’s live stream features a truly international line-up. Among the headline acts are Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) and Daryl Hall (Hall & Oates), who will debut the brand new Peace One Day Anthem. The song, co-written and produced by Stewart and Hall, features legendary guitarist Peter Frampton, powerhouse vocalist Vanessa Amorosi, and the uplifting London Community Gospel Choir. The anthem is available exclusively via SongBits, where fans can own a share of the song with all proceeds supporting Peace One Day’s work.

Nadirah X: Dave and Nadirah X co-wrote the charity single “Dignity,” using music to raise awareness for humanitarian causes.
Boris Grebenshikov: Stewart collaborated with Boris and Stevie Nicks on “Face to Face,” a song supporting Ukraine through the UNITED24 initiative. Stewart also produced Boris’s English-language album “Radio Silence.”
Iris Gold: Known for her vibrant style, Iris has worked with Dave on her recent album blending pop, soul, and hip-hop.
