Dave Stewart is an Artist For Action—an initiative uniting musicians, actors, athletes, and creatives to confront gun violence, promote mental health, and foster meaningful connection through art.
With a career spanning four decades and over 100 million albums sold, Dave has long used his platform to champion humanitarian causes. From co-creating the 46664 campaign for Nelson Mandela to launching The Peace Tour with Annie Lennox, his work has consistently merged creativity with activism. As an Artist For Action, Stewart continues this legacy, using music to inspire measurable change.
What Is Artist For Action?
Artist For Action is a growing coalition dedicated to:
- Preventing gun violence through education and advocacy
- Addressing mental health and social isolation
- Mobilising communities through music, storytelling, and live events
In partnership with Sandy Hook Promise, the movement has already reached over 31 million people, helped prevent 18 shootings, and saved more than 700 lives.

Peace One Day Celebration – September 21, Wembley Arena
As part of his Artist For Action work, Dave will perform at the Peace One Day Celebration on the International Day of Peace, September 21, at London’s OVO Wembley Arena. The event marks the 25th anniversary of Peace One Day, a nonprofit organisation working to institutionalise Peace Day and promote global unity.
The concert will feature appearances by Daryl Hall, Mark Barden, Jude Law, Bob Geldof, Sir Richard Branson, Jeremy Gilley, and a host of international artists and activists.
