Dave Stewart is returning to Sunderland for a special performance at The Fire Station, a venue he knows well and where he’s played to warm hometown audiences before. This time, he’ll be performing his Dave Does Dylan album live—a collection of Bob Dylan songs reinterpreted through Dave’s distinctive style.

The concert takes place on the same evening that the Dave Does Dylan television special, filmed earlier this year for Analog and PBS, will be broadcast in the United States. While American viewers will be tuning in from home, fans in Sunderland will be experiencing the music live, in the city where Dave’s musical journey began.

Members of our Facebook community were given early access to tickets, and the concert has already sold out. We’re delighted that so many of you were able to take advantage of the offer and secure a place for what promises to be a memorable evening.

The Dave Does Dylan album features some beautifully reimagined tracks, including a soulful version of “Lay Lady Lay”, a cinematic take on “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door”, and a tender, stripped-back rendition of “Just Like a Woman”. Fans can expect a thoughtful and atmospheric performance, with Dave’s signature storytelling and musical depth bringing fresh perspective to these iconic songs.

We’ll be sharing more after the show, and we’d love to hear from those attending—feel free to post your thoughts, photos and reflections in the Facebook group. For now, we’re looking forward to a night of great music and a celebration of one of Sunderland’s most influential artists.
