We’re really pleased to share details of two special events happening in London this September to mark the release of Annie Lennox’s new book, Retrospective. Whether you’ve followed Annie’s journey since the early Eurythmics days or discovered her solo work more recently, these events offer a rare chance to connect with her story in person.

Retrospective is far more than a photo book. It’s a beautifully curated visual memoir, created in close collaboration with Annie herself. It features over 200 images - including portraits by legendary photographers like Richard Avedon, Paolo Roversi, Bettina Rheims, and Ellen von Unwerth - alongside handwritten lyrics, personal notes, and reflections. It offers a rare and intimate look at Annie’s life as a performer, songwriter, and activist.

In Conversation at the Emmanuel Centre

Wednesday 24th September – 7pm
Emmanuel Centre, Marsham Street, London SW1
This promises to be a fascinating evening. Annie will be in conversation with Nuala McGovern from BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, reflecting on her life, music, and creative evolution. It’s a chance to hear directly from Annie about the moments that shaped her, the stories behind the songs, and the vision behind her new book.

Tickets are available with or without a copy of the book, which can be collected at the event.

Book Signing at Waterstones Piccadilly

Saturday 27th September – 2pm
Waterstones, Piccadilly, London W1
Book tickets here

If you’d prefer a more personal moment, Annie will also be signing copies of Retrospective at Waterstones Piccadilly. Each ticket includes a copy of the book, which you’ll collect on the day.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Annie will be signing copies of Retrospective only – no additional items please
  • You’ll need to show your ticket on the day
  • There may be some queueing, including outside, so come prepared for the weather
  • Accessibility support will be available for those who need it
  • Tickets are non-transferable and must be purchased directly from Waterstones

These events are expected to sell out quickly, so if you’re planning to go, don’t wait too long to book.
