Annie Lennox and The Circle: A Year of Global Feminist Impact. The Circle have just released their latest report and it makes good reading.
We’re delighted to share highlights from the 2025 Circle Impact Report, which showcases the extraordinary work Annie Lennox and her global feminist organisation, The Circle, has achieved over the past year. Founded by Annie and a group of visionary women, The Circle is a powerful collective working to advance the rights, safety, and economic empowerment of women and girls around the world.
This year’s report is a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when compassion, creativity, and solidarity come together. From raising over £800,000 to directly supporting 26,000 women and girls, The Circle’s impact is both far-reaching and deeply personal. Their work spans emergency aid, economic empowerment, advocacy, and amplifying the voices of grassroots feminist leaders.
One of the most memorable moments of the year was the SISTERS: Annie Lennox and Friends concert at the Royal Albert Hall — a sold-out celebration of music and activism that raised nearly a quarter of a million pounds. Annie was joined by artists including Hozier, Paloma Faith, Beverley Knight, and her daughter Lola Lennox, in a night described by The Guardian as “a euphoric celebration of female solidarity.”
But beyond the headlines and the music, The Circle’s work is grounded in real stories — from survivors of violence in South Sudan and Kenya to digital empowerment programmes for women in Nigeria. Their grassroots partners are changing lives every day, and Annie’s leadership continues to inspire a global movement.
Here is Annie’s heartfelt message from the report:
A Letter from Annie Lennox
Don’t just stand there. Join us!
Surrounded by so many depressing headlines directly and negatively impacting women around the world, it might feel easier to simply switch off and ignore what’s taking place. Yet, as global feminists, we realise that we can find strength and inspiration from each other to channel our energy towards positivity and resilience.
Despite all the heartbreaking news, there are some hard-won achievements to be celebrated. Child marriage was criminalised in Sierra Leone and Colombia in 2024. While Mexico and Namibia elected their first female leaders. Progress can be made and there are ways in which we can all contribute and support.
We are delighted to share with you, the impact our global network of changemakers has achieved in the last twelve months. Real change comes when communities are empowered to create services that are tailored for their needs. When we support these movements, transformation happens.
With government aid cuts having a devastating impact on millions of lives, our message is critical. We need everyone to step up to the plate and stand in solidarity and action with women on the frontlines of the ensuing crises!
Thank you for joining us on the journey.
With best wishes and love,
From Annie xxx
