Dave Stewart reunites with Daryl Hall to perform 8 songs for a new episode of Live From Daryl’s House with Vanessa Amorosi on vocals. Episode 92 is out now, 50 episodes on from Dave Stewart’s last appearance!
It’s the return of the creative partnership we’ve been waiting for; Daryl Hall and our very own Dave Stewart back together again, sharing their unmistakable musical chemistry in a brand-new episode of Live from Daryl’s House. And the best part? It’s streaming now on YouTube for everyone to enjoy.
This episode is more than just a performance; it’s a celebration. A reunion between two friends who’ve been making music magic together for over four decades. And joining them this time is the powerhouse vocalist Vanessa Amorosi, who brings her own spark to the set.
The session features live versions of songs from Daryl’s latest solo album, D, which dropped in June 2024 via Virgin Records. It’s his first solo album in 13 years—and it shows he hasn’t missed a beat. Out of the nine original songs on the album, Dave co-wrote and co-produced seven. Their collaboration runs deep, and you can hear it in every note.
As Daryl puts it: “Great to be playing the D songs live with Dave. I’ve been waiting for this.” That energy and anticipation come through in every performance.
This new work is also a full-circle moment for Daryl and Dave. The two first teamed up back in 1986 on Daryl’s solo album Three Hearts in the Happy Ending Machine. Since then, they’ve stayed close - musically and personally. In Daryl’s words, “Dave has been my shadow partner since 1984. This album was a true 50-50 collaboration- writing together, most of it on the spot.”
That kind of spontaneous creativity only works when there’s trust, history, and shared vision—and these two have all three in abundance.
Dave added his thoughts too: “Daryl and I go way back. Our friendship has lasted over 40 years, and writing songs together still feels effortless. Playing these new tracks at Daryl’s House was as fun as ever.”
Vanessa Amorosi is no stranger to working with Dave either. She’s recorded with him at his Bay Street Records studio in the Bahamas and is often seen touring with him, lending her incredible voice to Eurythmics classics. She fits right into this musical reunion, bringing both vocal power and warmth.
Now let’s take a quick look at the songs they performed in this episode:
