Satoshi Saikusa, famous for his photography of Annie Lennox for the album cover of Diva has died.

We recently discovered that photographer Satoshi Saikusa who famously took the photographs for the artwork on Annie Lennox’s debut album Diva passed away in Japan in September aged just 62.

A statement was released that simply stated :

“We have the unbearable pain to announce the pain of Satoshi Saikusa, a photographer, an artist, the founder of the gallery Da-End, a husband, a father and a friend, a free spirit, so loved by all of us.

“Suddenness means, in terms of space, taking a leap over the void. We must jump from the finite to the infinite and then we will know who we are.
You can understand this, but if you think about it, you fall into confusion.
We all go through this. So do all the masters.””

The picture we have used here was from an exhibition from 2017 where Satoshi revisited many older pieces from his work, and re-imagined them.
