Memory Lane photo library launches in the UK featuring rare Eurythmics live photographs from The General Wolfe in Coventry from December 1981

A free new online picture archive from the owners of Coventry Telegraph, The Mirror and The Express has being launched 

Memory Lane.co.uk is a brand new tool that allows you to celebrate historical snapshots in time by sharing and viewing old photos online.

It’s fully searchable by location, date, topics, people, categories and more and described as a destination for sharing, discussing, selling and viewing pictures of places and people from times gone by.

The Eurythmics perform at The General Wolfe, Foleshill, Coventry, Midlands. December 1981. Eurythmics were a British pop duo consisting of members singer Annie Lennox and guitarist Dave Stewart. Stewart and Lennox were both previously in the band the Tourists. The duo released their first studio album, In the Garden, in 1981 to little success, but went on to achieve global success with their second album Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This), released in 1983 The General Wolfe was a popular music pub in Coventry. It closed in 2011, eventually becoming a restaurant. Picture taken 8th December 1981
