Join us for our #March4Women International Women’s Day event in London!

It will be an uplifting afternoon of speeches, entertainment, solidarity and action suitable for the whole family – and it’s indoors so this year you won’t get wet or cold!

Westminster Central Hall was used by the suffragettes 100 years ago to hold rallies and jamborees. We’ll be following in their footsteps by celebrating the progress we’ve made towards gender equality. And we’ll be taking forward the global fight for gender equality by asking you to join us in calling for a worldwide treaty to protect women everywhere from violence and harassment in the workplace.

We are really excited that the brilliant Sue Perkins will be hosting the event again this year. We will be joined on the day by inspirational speakers including: Annie Lennox, Helena Bonham Carter, Shola Mos-Shogbamimu, David Tennant, Helen Pankhurst and Lady Brenda Hale, the first woman President of the UK Supreme Court.

We will hear from gender equality champions who have challenged the law to change the world in a panel with BBC Woman’s Hour presenter Jane Garvey: FGM campaigner, Leyla HusseinGina Martin, the activist who made upskirting illegal; and Shaista Gohir, Executive Director of Muslim Women’s Network. Mexican labour rights activist Marcelina Bautista will deliver a powerful speech.

Also joining us will be fantastic actors Amanda Abbington, Naana Agyei-Ampadu and Nicola Thorp.

The amazing Beverley KnightImelda MayBond QuartetUrban Voices Collective and the legendary composer David Arnold will all be performing!

Please join us to help make 2019 another #March4Women step forward for gender equality! You will have the opportunity to lend your voice to our campaign. Our aim is to ensure that the most vulnerable and marginalised women and girls, including garment workers, domestic workers and those living in extreme poverty, have protection.

Tickets to the event are limited, so please make sure you book ahead to avoid disappointment. Tickets are £5, but if you feel that you could help contribute towards the cost of running the event, you can also donate when you buy your ticket.

We look forward to seeing you there!
