The Shakespears Sister track “Stay”, which managed an 8 week run at No. in 1992 has re-entered the UK charts this week at No. 12, slightly down on its mid week palcing of No. 9, and a huge increase from its postion of No. 65 last week.  Even No. 65 was impressive as that was based on overnight sales for 1 day.  The track was co-written and produced by Dave Stewart who was married at the time to Siobhan Fahey.

The track has re-entered the charts because of it being featured on the UK ITV Saturday night talent show, X-Factor and was performed in an emotional sequence by Cher Lloyd. Both versions are featured below for you to enjoy.
