Annie Lennox has donated a Butler and Wilson Necklace to an eBay auction being run by the charity Royal Blind.

You are bidding on a Butler and Wilson necklace previously owned and kindly donated to Royal Blind by Annie Lennox. The box has been autographed by Annie.

Annie has come a long way since fronting the Grammy Award-winning Eurythmics in the 1980s. Since then she has become a successful solo artist, sold more than 80 million records, and become renowned for her charity work. In October she won the Barclays Woman Of The Year Award for her charity work. The Award salutes an exceptional and selfless woman who has used her vision to help change the lives of many.  We couldn’t agree more and felt very privileged to receive one of her very own necklaces for our Light Relief Week Auction. Annie is reported to have said that: ‘A lot of music you might listen to is pretty vapid, it doesn’t always deal with our deeper issues. These are the things I’m interested in now, particularly at my age.’ Those deeper issues for her revolve round peace, poverty, motherhood and, in particular, the devastation wrought by HIV/AIDS in Africa.

We thank Annie for her very kind donation and hope you bid generously.  The price currently stands at £100.  Bid here
