Dave Stewart has just appeared on the BBC Radio 2 Drivetime show hosted by Simon Mayo.  Dave spoke about his book the Business Playground.

He spoke about his lecturing he has done over the last 15 years on creativity, and after doing it for a while and being involved in businesses of all sizes, Dave started to compile the book.

One of the underlying concepts of the book is being playful, and by being playful you become creative.  As you get older you see problems before solutions and your playfulness stops.  Dave believes its in the playfulness that the creativeness occurs.  Some companies have this right including Google.

Dave’s book is also playful and moves away from the traditional style of a business book.  A lot of people get stuck in linear and logical thinking.  Dave believes that adult creativity peaks in the 30’s and 40’s and a secondary peak later in life.  Dave states he is constantly creating and is always in the zone.

Dave doesn’t think he will ever get to the stage where he will retire, there’s always stuff that still needs to come out, his idea spaghetti suggests you have to have hundreds of ideas, and the more you have, the liklehood of having a good one is much higher!

Dave also spoke about working with Stevie Nicks, that 6 tracks are recorded so far and they will try and complete the album in the Summer, and that he is hoping to play live with a “bunch of reprobates”

Dave also talks about Ghost The Musical, opening in April 2011, and Zombie Broadway, like the Rocky Horror show but with more blood!
