Annie Lennox has written a message encouraging her fans to give to relief efforts in Haiti.
“Haiti…It always seems that the ones who can least afford it are also the those who get hit by the sharp end of catastrophe,” she wrote on her blog. “Absolutely devastating. I’m making my own personal contribution to the British Red Cross, and I’m sure that everybody reading this blog will be doing something to support the situation there… Even if you just give ONE pound or ONE Euro, or dollar… that will be your unique and individual contribution to the overwhelm! …So if you haven’t already done so.. Please can I encourage you to just get off the couch and get active… In that way, you can be part of the collective solution, and you can give yourself a pat on the back for being an engaged and caring member of the human race! YOU REALLY CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!”
